Cotto & Wood

Cotto & Wood features two traditional materials and transforms their defining characteristics into porcelain. Many natural materials can lose their defining characteristics when transformed into porcelain, but this collection focuses on enhancing the plain sawn grain of wood and the aged, weathered appearance of cotto, by using a uniform color palette and varying finishes.

The palette is composed of deep, natural tones, differing ever so slightly between the wood and cotto textures, yet still working together wonderfully. The wood has a chalky matte finish, while that same finish for cotto has touches of a satin sheen to reflect light and add moments of brightness. Create a textural study of materials in your next design using Cotto + Wood.
